Are you holy enough for heaven?

Image
Are you nailing Christ to the cross all over again? Sin caused problems in heaven. It was the reason why Jesus Christ was crucified. God takes sin so seriously that He has to punish it. We would never allow sin to rule in our hearts if we understood the debt we owe God. When Christians live in sin, they are nailing Christ to the cross all over again. Our God is a holy God and He requires His children to be holy, just as He is holy.  God Himself has provided the remedy for sin. John 3:16 says: 'For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' This book will show you how you can make sure that your eternal destiny is heaven and not in hell!   …Find out more… visit book page

Everybody Hurts - Relevant Rantings of Rusty Old Prophets

Image
A Foray into the Minor Prophets -  Timeless truth and timely message in a hurting world The minor prophets in the bible are often neglected and rarely talked about. Perhaps we are frightened of prophetic texts or find them inaccessible, or perhaps we just can’t see what significance the 2000-year-old rantings of a bunch of dead guys have in the 21st Century world. Journey through this book and see a present-day application; relevant for your life today. The Minor Prophets are not a gang of eccentric characters  from over two millennia ago. They were men, raised up by God, to speak to nations. They declared the Word of the Lord into real-life situations and called their nation back to God. Often it took courage to deliver that word and some paid for such bravery with their lives!   …Find out more… visit book page

A review of 'The Wholesome Truth about Healing'

Image
" This book presents a very well reasoned and persuasive argument in favour of Divine healing for today. Beginning with an identification of prejudices against healing and moving on to an investigation of the phenomena, both from the Bible and from Church History, Yomi Akinpelu builds a case for encouraging people today to be open for God to heal them from all kinds of sicknesses and diseases. From here application is given on how to receive healing and throughout the book is laced with testimonies and stories of God’s intervention in people’s lives to bring about such healings. The thorny issue of why some are not healed is also addressed and advice is given on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Along the journey through this book, Yomi takes note of scholarly opinion, both for and against divine Healing and the conclusion is an enlightening and convincing affirmation that Divine healing did not cease with the early church but is available for people, whether believers o

'Losing My Religion: The Radical Message of the Kingdom'

Image
" Ready for a challenge?"   "This is a challenging and thought-provoking look at the centrality of the message of the Kingdom of God and how it should impact the life and faith of every true Christian believer. It is not written as merely the opinion of the author but is thoroughly grounded in the scriptures of both the old and new testaments. It is extremely well-structured and has a very detailed table of contents which help when returning to the book in search of a specific passage or scriptural reference. For a book of such depth of study it is also remarkably easy to read though the challenge of the message it contains may make the half-hearted believer rather less than comfortable. Don't miss the opportunity of reading this book!" Mrs Christine Webb "Exciting and encouraging book" "Loved the book. There were things that I thought I understood but this has added to my knowledge and understanding and has brought so much

Bringing you exclusive interviews with authors featured in the Book Savvy Newsletter. Our Guest is Oge Austin-Chukwu * Enjoy the interview. Q1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your book 'Pearls of Wisdom'? I have been writing since I was a child. I love words and the concept of using them to paint a picture that people can relate to. As a medical doctor in a busy hospital setting I couldn't seem to find the time to write or indeed do other things I had an interest in doing, so eight years ago I retrained as a General Practitioner and my work/life balance is so much better. I wrote Pearls of Wisdom because I believe there is so much we can learn from looking at other people's lives. My heroes are ordinary people who do extraordinary things because they believed in Someone and Something greater than themselves. The Bible is full of these ordinary people. Pearls of Wisdom aims to capture just a few of these women.   Q2. What was your motivation for
