Are you holy enough for heaven?

Image
Are you nailing Christ to the cross all over again? Sin caused problems in heaven. It was the reason why Jesus Christ was crucified. God takes sin so seriously that He has to punish it. We would never allow sin to rule in our hearts if we understood the debt we owe God. When Christians live in sin, they are nailing Christ to the cross all over again. Our God is a holy God and He requires His children to be holy, just as He is holy.  God Himself has provided the remedy for sin. John 3:16 says: 'For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' This book will show you how you can make sure that your eternal destiny is heaven and not in hell!   …Find out more… visit book page

A review of 'The Wholesome Truth about Healing'

Image
" This book presents a very well reasoned and persuasive argument in favour of Divine healing for today. Beginning with an identification of prejudices against healing and moving on to an investigation of the phenomena, both from the Bible and from Church History, Yomi Akinpelu builds a case for encouraging people today to be open for God to heal them from all kinds of sicknesses and diseases. From here application is given on how to receive healing and throughout the book is laced with testimonies and stories of God’s intervention in people’s lives to bring about such healings. The thorny issue of why some are not healed is also addressed and advice is given on how to live a healthy lifestyle. Along the journey through this book, Yomi takes note of scholarly opinion, both for and against divine Healing and the conclusion is an enlightening and convincing affirmation that Divine healing did not cease with the early church but is available for people, whether believers o

Bringing you exclusive interviews with authors featured in the Book Savvy Newsletter. Our Guest is Oge Austin-Chukwu * Enjoy the interview. Q1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your book 'Pearls of Wisdom'? I have been writing since I was a child. I love words and the concept of using them to paint a picture that people can relate to. As a medical doctor in a busy hospital setting I couldn't seem to find the time to write or indeed do other things I had an interest in doing, so eight years ago I retrained as a General Practitioner and my work/life balance is so much better. I wrote Pearls of Wisdom because I believe there is so much we can learn from looking at other people's lives. My heroes are ordinary people who do extraordinary things because they believed in Someone and Something greater than themselves. The Bible is full of these ordinary people. Pearls of Wisdom aims to capture just a few of these women.   Q2. What was your motivation for

Resonate' by Terry Durose has been reviewed by Richard Bradbury, an author and Church leader in East Yorkshire. The Review - Resonate: Sending a message that can be heard "Arising out of experience in city mission, Resonate is written as a guide to evangelism for those wanting to share their faith. Ideal as a resource for cell groups, this book could be used to help motivate and equip people to reach out into their own friendship groups and neighbourhoods or into the streets in which their church is located. The simple, practical style combined with the experience which forms a backdrop to the book, makes it accessible to a wide audience of believers."
